Justine started dancing lindy hop in 2003 and teaching in 2005 at venues in the CBD, Glebe and Balmain.
In 2012, Justine started running and teaching at Juke Joint, our monthly blues dance night. She has taught and performed in front of thousands at Sydney Festival and has competed in blues and lindy hop events at the Sydney Jitterbug Championships and National Swing Dance Championships.
In 2006 Justine started DJing and you can hear her play at Swing Pit, Swing Camp Oz, Sydney Swing Festival, The Roxbury and Sydney Lindy Exchange. Justine travels overseas and interstate regularly to improve her teaching and dancing skills and is addicted to reading blogs about dancing … and reality TV … and dining out.
Justine was one of our first Swing Patrol Sydney students and never anticipated that lindy hop would become such a big part of her life.
“… I saw a flyer in a café and off I went. No leotards, no high heels and no partner required! It was perfect for a lazy single girl like me …“
