Swing Patrol & COVID-19: Update
by swingadmin on 1st July 2020
Our priority, as always, is to ensure the health and safety of our community. This includes our students, teachers, door staff and DJs, and the staff and other users of the venues in which we dance. We feel the need to be cautious and wait until it is safe for everyone to return to swing dancing.
At this point, it’s too early to confidently say when Swing Patrol classes and social dancing activities will reopen, which venues will open first, and what shape the classes may take.
Social partner dancing as we have always taught it may be difficult to resume as long as the 1.5m physical distancing guidelines remain in place.
In some positive news, face to face partner dancing has started again in Perth and other parts of the country, and in New Zealand. We will be watching their progress with great interest, just as we monitor the information from government health departments keenly.
If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. More information can be found on this NSW Government website.
