Swing Patrol & COVID-19: June Update

by swingadmin on 21st June 2021

Much has changed since Swing Patrol classes shut down in March 2020. Currently we are not ready to resume regular classes. Some locations are unavailable to us due to current density restrictions, some have been relinquished to hirers who could use the space for activities other than partner dancing. Some members of our teaching team are unable to return to their old venues. As there are now new Covid cases and additional exposure sites in the community, and until we can return to “Covid normal”, Swing Patrol remains closed for the immediate future.

We are working towards opening at least one regular class – Swing Patrol North Sydney. Our fingers are crossed that we get the go-head from venue management to resume when it is safe to do so. Stay tuned for updates.

In the meantime, we will continue to plan a range of workshops in various locations, aimed at different levels of experience, so teachers and students alike can find their way back to the dance floor after such a long hiatus. Keep an eye on the website and the Swing Patrol Sydney Facebook page for more announcements.
