Profile

Chris Kearns

Chris drove his family mad as a child with his constant singing, imitating of sounds and attempts to be a human trumpet; later identified by an astute listener as a flugelhorn. A chance encounter with a community college a cappella course in 1995 was enough for Chris to come out of the harmony closet and bare his voice to anyone prepared to listen.

Singing in choirs lead to singing in vocal quartets and then a stint performing in amateur musical theatre productions.

Attending the 2008 Gangster's Ball was Chris' first exposure to swing dancing. A few months later and his addiction began with swing dancing classes and social dances quickly taking up the bulk of his spare time.

Chris has a severe case of FOMO (fear of missing out) and as such, is usually the last to leave any class, dance event or party.

If you like having someone sing to you whilst dancing, ask Chris for a dance at the next social event.
