Alice Roberts

Alice lives, dances and DJs in sunny Sydney. She started swing dancing in early 2006 and has been teaching regular classes and workshops around Sydney since 2008. Alice has competed locally and nationally in the Sydney Jitterbug Championships, Jumptown Jam, Melbourne Lindy Battle, Australian Jitterbug Championships, and Australian Swing Dance Championships. In late 2011 Alice had the opportunity to work on Underbelly Razor as a dancer and choreographer.    

Alice is passionate about partner and solo jazz dance styles from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. She has a special passion for jazz strolls and solo charleston, which comes through in her energetic dancing and teaching style. In her classes you will find a focus on solid technique, musicality and self expression. 

Alice has a keen interest in jazz and blues music and has been DJing at local social dances and events since 2009, including the Sydney Swing Festival and Sydney Lindy Exchange. 

Alice is currently teaching in Petersham, in Sydney's Inner West, on Wednesday nights.
