Charleston, charleston, charleston! We had great fun launching our class on the 1st of February with charleston, delicious local beers AND social dancing, and there was more of the same this week. Next week we bring even more partnered charleston in class. If you can’t make class, join us for a drink or a dance afterwards at 8.30!

Special guest teacher Derek Carruthers will be joining Sam at Paddo next week to teach 8 beat Lindy Hop goodness from scratch in Level 1 and some more core 8 beat Lindy Hop moves with a twist in Level 2!

Next week will be even more Lindy Hop Goodness in both levels. There’ll be more basics in Level 1 and we’ll be working hard on technique in Level 2 with a few fun moves thrown in for good measure.
2. Swing dancing Gig Guide… thanks Ben!
And on into February! This week we have Swing Pit on Friday night and the Unity Hall Jazz Band on Sunday afternoon. Pugsley Buzzard is also playing Friday, and he’ll be recording too! And if you don't know already I'm off in a couple of months to Nepal for a year - that means I'll be looking for some help to keep the gig guide running and an ear to the ground for all the cool musics. Drop me a line if you're interested.
