21 August 2010 ... Held in Melbourne, a wondeful night showcasing some of Australias' finest dancers, as they fight it out to be an AJC champion.
Swing Patrol hold special balls throughout the year. They are generally held in a large hall so everyone in the swing dance community can come together and enjoy music and dancing and have the opportunity to meet other dancers from other venues and places. These are also the opportunities to have a live band and really make a night of it.
Sometimes the balls are themed or have a specific focus. Two of our most successful balls are the "Beginners Ball" around April or May where everyone who is new to swing can come and test out their stuff in a larger environment; and the Performance Ball which is a night full of showing off by all the venues and classes to eachother and friends and family.
