Coming up on Tue 14 Feb

Level 1 (7pm)

8 beat Lindy Hop from scratch In Level 1 we'll be teaching the basics from scratch plus some fun moves. Requirements to join Level 1 No experience needed! You do not need to sign up for a block of classes. We encourage you to come on a regular basis to improve but you can drop in whenever it suits you as each class covers the basics before we cover new aspects/moves each week.

Level 2 (8:10pm)

Core 8 beat Lindy Hop moves with a twist! We'll be covering some of the core 8 beat Lindy Hop moves with a focus on technique to improve your overall dancing. Are you ready for Level 2? If you know some basic 8 beat (Lindy Hop), 6 beat and Side-by-side Charleston, then feel free to join a Level 2 class. We encourage people moving up to Level 2 to continue doing Level 1 to become more comfortable with the basic patterns. Speak to Chris or Sam if you're not sure.

 

On Tue 7 Feb we learnt the following in Level 1 and Level 2:

Level 1 - 8 beat Lindy Hop from scratch - with Lindy Hop footwork

8 beat basic in closed position 8 beat circle Swing-out from closed 8 beat basic in open position Swing-out from open position Swing-out from open position back into closed

Level 2 - Core 8 beat Lindy Hop moves with a twist

Inside turn basic plus two other variations Texas Tommy Free Spin American Spin
