Changing up our Charleston

Welcome to the North Sydney class diary, here we will keep a brief outline of what happened in class to jog your memory :-D

Every last Tuesday of the month there is a social night after Level 2 at 8.45pm. Everyone is welcome!

On the second Tuesday of each month there is a beginner Balboa class in the Level 2 timeslot at 7.45pm and an intermediate Balboa class at 8.45pm.

Level 1

This week we continued with our Charleston and covered the following moves:

  • Entry to hand-to-hand Charleston
  • Hand-to-hand Charleston
  • Star grabs
  • Exit from hand-to-hand Charleston

Next week: We will be continuing with Charleston and teaching some more moves to add to your repertoire.

Level 2

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the social night this week!

We had a floorcraft lesson this week and explored ideas on how to use space effectively on a crowded dance floor, including:

  • Under-rotation
  • Over-rotation
  • Pushback
  • Catapult

Next week: We'll throw together a whole lot of moves in a fun mini routine.
