We continued this week with a new series, the Side by side charleston. We'll be covered all the fundamentals for the step as well as add in a bunch of cool moves and variations. Come join in the FUN! What did we do in class? • Energetic Kicks to start dancing with • Basics side-by-side charleston • Turn on 7 • Outside Turn (Jump,Jump version) |
How do you know your ready for level 2?
What basics series do you learn in Level 1 • The Lindy Hop (8Beat) Basics • The Jitterbug (6Beat) basics • The Tandem Charleston basics • The Hand To Hand Charleston basics • The Side By Side Charleston basics |
Each week we teach (or review) the basic moves and technique and then add in different moves or variations. We repeat the 'Lindy Hop' series alot because it's the core step that we teach and the steps from the 'Classic' era of swing. To complete the entire series takes about 8 months. We encourage you to take this time in Level 1. |
