This week will be fun of fun charleston and transition moves! With the new team hitting their strides, Brock and Jono are going to SWING OUT BIG TIME!!

Next week in level 1 we will continue with tandem charleston, BUT in the Level 2 timeslot we are going to have a special mixed level Blues class!! So everyone is welcome to come.. If you do both classes it is $22.. WEAR SOMETHING BLUE.
This Friday join us for dinner/drinks at the Coopers Hotel on King St. in Newtown from around 6.30pm before we head to Swing Pit LIVE!
Tonight!
Level 1: Tandem charleston.
*Basic footwork: Rock step kick step double kick step (everyone starting back on the left foot)
*Tandem charleston basic
*Turn to the left and back (rock step turn left - leads take right arm over her head to turn her, double kick step (turning back)
* Turn to the left and stay there doing charleston!
* (in side by side position)- Pecks (uh oh!!!) rock step down, ba dup peck peck
* Getting back to tandem (on 5, 6, 7 & 8)
* Pride of Erin (Prejudice?!): Rock step turn left, but leads keep your arm behind her shoulders and kick step kickstep off the dance floor!
Level 2: Transitions
* 8 beat to charleston- Basic into closed/circle- open her out using the momentum, adjust pulse to charleston
charleston to 8 beat- Side by side charleston, leads rock step and get in front and create stretch to swing her out.
charleston to 8 beat- Side by side charleston, leads rock step and get in front and create stretch to swing her out.
* Exercise: Try to lead whether it is a triple step or a step step in closed
* 8 beat to 6 beat: get into closed and then lead with body the extra triple to make it 6 beat.
6 beat to 8 beat in closed.
* From open- 8 beat to 6 beat- using a pass by- increase intensity to a '7' to lead a 6 beat passby , to lead an 8 beat passby, intensity should be around 3 or 4.
* Free spin into sushi roll!!!
