Class Diary

History of Swing

()
18 Mar 2010

Hey there swing dancers in the inner west!!!

Classes started last week in Concord and we stepped into the history of Charleston.

Starting with the basic Charleston, we turned this into partner Charleston and then added in Tacky Annies. For a bit more pazzazz we turned our Charleston and learnt the lead for the Tacky Annies. Next we added in Hand to Hand Charleston with 6 kicks and ended back in Charleston.

We will revise this again for those that missed our first class and for those in class needing to revise the material.

You are welcome to jump in at any time as we run classes assuming that people will drop in each week. The benefit of coming each week is that you get to build your bag of tricks faster than if you only rock up every couple of weeks.

We look forward to seeing you in class Thursday.
