Level 2 - The RULES of Lindy
L2 Class Summary
In this class we wanted to cover the 4 most valuable technical rules that can be practically applied to improve your dancing.

RULE #1: DANCE THE EVEN BEAT
• Swing music rhythm emphasize the UP beat, the 2,4,6,8. As swing dancers we want to reflect that in out basics.
• Lead the follow on count 2 instead of count 1 (This can now be a variation).

RULE #2: GIVE THE FOLLOW HALF THE COUNT
• Our favorite rule.
• Everyone gets more time to DANCE.
• In 6 counts the follower is finished moving by count 4
• In 8 counts the follower is finished moving by count 6
• Dance WITH the follow don't DANCE THE FOLLOW.

RULE #3: QUITE HANDS
• Take the static out of your leads.
• Count in with your FEET (Like we showed you in class).

RULE #4: HAS YOUR STYLING BECOME YOUR BASIC?
• Not a practical rule like the others but an important question you need to ask yourself to be a fuller more complete dancer.

Level 3 - Welcome To Level 3
L3 Class Summary
Thank you prospective level three students for doing the routine that Trish and I choreographed. We hope that you picked up all the various skills and expectations that is required for a level 3 student.
We taught the routine at a extremely fast pace, but with many of the subjects that we will deal with in this level, the pace is slower so we squeeze the most out of the class.

What's In store for Level 3 Newtown?
Our goal for the Advanced Level 3 class at Newtown to help the students reach the next level of their potential. We have some fantastic concepts and skills that we are just itching to share as well as some kick a@# moves to show you.

NEXT WEEK:
We will be exploring Advanced Frame Dynamics and moves. If you think that our class is for you then we'll see you next week.

Watch all these moves in the video diary below.
