Summer Classes

North Sydney (Blues Point Road Hall)
04 Jan 2010

Hey there North Sydney crew,

Jake and Sass are going to be running some summer classes throughout January to keep your feet swingin and we have had a few suggestions for classes. These summer classes are a great opportunity to learn some other styles and some neat Lindy combinations for your social dancing pleasure.

The first class is less of a level 1 class and more of a general learning class for those who have not had the chance to learn some of the Quirky 30's dance styles before, or at least bare minimum.

The second class will follow on from a request from a couple of students in throwing together a combination of moves to create mini routines you can use on the social dance floor.

6.30pm class: Quirky 30's. In this class we will step into the crazy styles of the 1920's Charleston which carried through into the 1930's and combining it with Balboa. Very easily combined from one style to another, these dances have a few similarities that we will use to create a some neat step combinations.

7.45pm class: Lindy Hop Combinations. Pinching a couple of moves from the 6.30pm class, we will concoct a few great mini routine/ step combinations that can be useful out on the social floor. Using the various steps from the different styles, we will then experiment with creating different ways of shuffling the combinations around to play with on the social dance floor.

Have a safe New Years and see you in class on the 4th of January,

Jake and Sass
