First Swing Pit for '09

Happy New Year swing dancers!

We hope you have had a refreshing break and are ready to hit 'The Pit' for a relaxed evening.

This Friday, the 9th of January is your chance to catch up on the holiday news and have a dance with those people you have possibly missed the past few weeks.

 

We are proud to now have Swing Pit every fortnight to soothe those dancing desires. Each Swing Pit on the 2nd Friday of the month will be beginner focused with classes fun and simple to get those starting off in swing a chance to learn some moves to practice throughout the evening. Even the music throughout the social night will be aimed at those who are just starting out in their dancing lives. Easy beats and well known songs will be spun out by our passionate Dj's. Of course all dancers, beginner, intermediate and experienced, are welcome!

There will be stranger dancers, a quick mini lesson and perhaps a snowball or two... a what? Snowballs are basically a chance to have a quick dance with others at the social night to break the ice and get to know other dancers more quickly. As we are all in some stage of learning, these Swing Pits are a great opportunity to practice your dancing without feeling you have to know how to dance. 

These Swing Pits are also a great night to introduce your friends to the swing scene and meet other dancers from classes around Sydney that might be in their classes.

 

On the 4th Friday of the month, the class and social dancing will cater to the general swing crowd. We will have themed nights, and totally awesome tracks pumped out by our wonderful DJ's!

 

Social class at 8.15pm and Social dancing at 9.15pm.
